About the role

We are looking for an engaged IT technician to join Unibase!

As an IT technician, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the operation and maintenance of customers' IT environments
• Working with servers, AD, networks, storage, virtualization, backup, and cloud services
• Handling administration of Microsoft 365 environments
• Participating in projects involving on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid solutions

You will be an important part of our team and the customer's team, contributing to delivering stable and effective IT solutions.

Your tasks may include the following (depending on the assignment):

Operation and management:

• Managing operating systems (Linux Server OS, Windows Server)
• Scripting and automating processes (PowerShell, Python)
• Administering Microsoft 365 environments
• Managing virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware)
• Working with cloud services (e.g., Microsoft Azure)
• Handling physical server solutions and storage systems

Backup and recovery:

• Ensuring backup of systems and data
• Implementing and monitoring backup strategies

Database management:

• Monitoring and maintaining databases (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Managing solutions for high availability and disaster recovery

Network and security:

• Maintaining networks and firewalls, and troubleshooting as needed
• Managing VPN solutions
• Implementing security measures (antivirus, encryption, monitoring)

Other:

• Seeking new solutions and improvements within IT infrastructure
• Staying updated on new trends and technologies

Preferred experiences

It is a plus if you have experience with:

• Containerization and DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes)
• CI/CD integration with GitLab
• ITIL v4 certification
• Certifications in networking, cloud services, security, or operating systems (e.g., MCSA, Azure, CCNA, CompTIA Security+)

Your background

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience working in 1st & 2nd Line Support
• Experience and knowledge of Azure, server, and network administration.
• Post-secondary education in IT infrastructure or equivalent experience
• Interest in troubleshooting and optimizing IT systems
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
